Humbolt Peak / Pico Bolivar Itinerary

DAY 1 : Fly to Caracas, Venezuela. Evening meal and lodging in Caracas.

DAY 2 : Early morning flight to Merida. Pick up Supplies. Drive to National Park. Hike to Lake Coromoto ( 10,300’ ). Camp at the lake for the evening.

DAY 3 : Climb to La Corona ( 13,200’ ) Set up camp and rest in the afternoon. Camp at La Corona for the evening.

DAY 4 : Rest Day at La Corona ( 13,200' ) Short morning hike to help acclimate. Afternoon adjustment of gear. Camp at La Corona.

DAY 5 : Move to bivy shelter at 13,800’. Rest and prepare for summit bid.

DAY 6 : Summit Day. 5 am start. Climb and summit Humboldt Peak ( 16,213' ) Descend To Lake Coromoto. Camp for the evening.

DAY 7 : Descend to Park entrance. Return to Merida for celebration dinner.

DAY 8 : Morning sightseeing in Merida. Afternoon flight to Caracas.

DAY 9 : Fly home

DAY 6 : Return from summit to sleep at Laguna Verde.

DAY 7 : Hike to Laguna Timoncitos and camp.

DAY 8 : Summit day. Return to Laguna Timoncitos. Descend via tram to Merida.

DAY 9 : Fly to Caracas.

DAY 10 : Fly home.
